ABSTRACT

Objective To study the curative effect of anterior cervical discectomy with fusion (ACDF)and anterior cervical corpectomy with fusion (ACCF)for multi segment cervical spondylosis;and to provide effective anterior surgery for the disease. Methods According to digital table,106 cases with multi segment cervical spondylosis were randomly divided into ACCF group of 54 cases and ACDF group of 52 cases. The ACDF group was treated with ACDF,and the ACCF group was treated with ACCF.The operation time, bleeding volume and excellent rate of cervical functional improvement of the two groups were observed, and the bone graft fusion, cervical vertebra height change and the change of cervical curvature of the two groups were evaluated. Results The operation time of the ACDF group was higher than that of the ACCF group, the amount of bleeding of the ACCF group was lower than that of the ACDF group, and the differences werestatistically significant (t =2.857,9.097,all P 0.05).Conclusion For multi segment cervical spondylosis, there are no significant differences in efficacy and stability between ACDF and ACCF;ACCF surgery field is more clear and easy to operate, the operation time is short, and there is the phenomenon of titanium mesh sinking. In the maintenance of cervical curvature,ACCF is better than ACDF.

ABSTRACT

Objective To compare the effects of surgical versus non-surgical treatment for femoral neck fractures in elderly patients,in order to provide guidance on treatment options. Methods The clinical effects and complications of different approaches from 42 patients with femoral neck fractures who had received treatment at our department from February 2006 to August 2011 were retrospectively analyzed. Results Of the 42 cases,13 cases were treated with artificial hip replacement,18 cases with hollow lag screw fixation, and 11 cases with tibial traction. No death occurred in patients treated with surgery, and 4 patients who had received non-surgical treatment died within 6 months of the followed-up.Conclusions Very elderly patients with femoral neck fractures generally perform well under appropriate perioperative care.Surgical treatment can produce good therapeutic effects, shorten the time for bed rest, improve the quality of life and reduce the mortality rate.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze reason and countermeasures of unqualified blood specimens ,improve the qualified rate of sam-ples ,to strengthen the quality control before analysis .Methods A retrospective statistical analysis were conducted to analyze the characteristics of the unqualified specimen and reasons from January 2013 to June 2014 .Results A total of 11 024 unqualified spec-imens accepted in the inspection center from January 2013 to June 2014 ,accounting for 0 .331% of reasons of unqualified specimens including hemolysis(26 .7% ) ,blood coagulation(25 .8% ) .The unqualified specimen in surgical system was higher than that in med-ical system .Conclusion Control specimen qualified rate system should be established in clinical laboratory ,the fraction defective samples should be reduced through continuous analysis and communication with clinical medical personnel to ensure the quality be-fore analyzing .

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyse clinical application of hepatitis B virus core antibody(HBcAb)detected by using the chemilu-minescence microparticle immunoassay. Methods A total of 1 6 830 specimen with positive HBcAb detected by using the two pairs of semi-hepatitis test from January 2012 to November 2014 were collected, and divided into three groups according to the cut off in-dex(COI)of detection results of HBcAb,including group 1.0-0.05).The detec-tion rate of HBsAg(+)HBsAb(-)of group 9.0-<1 1.0 was significantly lower than that of the other two groups(P <0.05).A total of 304 specimen were HBsAg(-)HBsAb(-)and COI≥1 1,among them 64 specimen were HBV DNA postive and the posi-tive rate was 21.0%.Conclusion In the detection of HBcAb,COI≥1 1 and 1.0-<9.0 could be reference indicators for diagnosiing current and past HBV infection respectively, which should be combined with other laboratory indicators of HBV clinical data for comprehensive analysis.

ABSTRACT

We analyzed the sequence of vertebrate molecular marker genes, then we selected the mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) 16S rRNA gene as marker gene. In order to detect four kinds of animal-derived ingredients, which including bovine, goat, pig and chicken. We utilized a pair of universal primers, designed four sets of species-specific microarray probes and two pairs of quality control probes. We optimized the PCR amplifications and hybridization conditions, therefore these four kinds of animal-derived ingredients could be rapid and accurate detected by this approach. The detection limits were all reaches 1 pg. We established the detection platform of these four kinds of animal-derived ingredients. This universal PCR-microarray assay provides a new method for the identification of animal-derived ingredients in the import-export field.

ABSTRACT

We designed the specific primers and TaqMan probes targeting cytochrome b genes of mitochondrial DNA from bovine, goat and sheep. We used different fluorescents to label the probes. After optimization of reaction conditions, we set up a multiplex fluorescent real-time PCR method to detect bovine, goat and sheep derived materials, simultaneously. We finished the detection tests of 17 kinds of animal DNA and 200 DNA samples from different sources with the developed method and the National Standard GB/T 20190Y-2006 routine PCR method. The coincidence rate of these two methods was 100%. Without electrophoresis or restriction digestion, the developed method could reduce the test time to one third as routine PCR and identify three kinds of animal derived materials including bovine, goat and sheep in one reaction. The developed method was approximately 10 times more sensitive than routine PCR, and was applicable to identifications of bovine, goat and sheep derived materials in feed stuff, meat, milk, pelt and grease, etc. The study showed that the developed real-time PCR method is a rapid, sensitive and efficacious detection assay for bovine, goat and sheep derived materials in animal products.
